FishHawk Ranch and Waterset Launch 6th Annual Concerts for a Cause Series

FishHawk Ranch and Waterset Launch 6th Annual Concerts for a Cause Series

Popular Apollo Beach and Lithia Community Events Support Local Charities

WHAT:

Newland Communities is gearing up for another season of its popular Concerts for a Cause. Beginning in mid-September, both FishHawk Ranch and Waterset communities will host concerts featuring area bands, such as Frequency, C’Nergy and Lovestruck Robot.

The concerts are open to the public. In lieu of admission, attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items or cash donations.

This year, Lithia-based Seeds of Hope and the Newsome High School Marching Band’s March to Macy’s fund will be the beneficiaries of concertgoer’s donations at FishHawk Ranch.

The March to Macy’s fund was created to help cover travel expenses for the Newsome High School Marching Band, which has been selected to participate in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. Newland Communities will match donations raised during all five Concerts for a Cause events up to $10,000.

Seeds of Hope is a non-profit organization founded by FishHawk Ranch resident Leda Eaton that offers a food pantry for the surrounding areas of Lithia, Brandon and Valrico, and also supplies weekend backpacks of food for low-income school children.

Donations collected during concerts at Waterset will be distributed to Feeding Tampa Bay, the area’s leading food bank, which provides food to more than 700,000 people in a 10-county area of West Florida, including Hillsborough County.

Thanks to the generosity of attendees, last year’s concerts raised enough food to provide 17,000 meals.

So bring your lawn chairs and blankets and get ready for some great music and fun for the whole family.
