7 Ways to Enjoy Fall Fun in and around Tampa Bay

Whether you’re looking for pulse-pounding scares or family-friendly frights, there are so many ways to celebrate Spooky Season in and around Tampa Bay! Refer to this list (organized by date) throughout the season, we’ll be adding more tricks and treats!

 

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World
Select nights, August 11-November 1

Halloween meets Disney magic for this event at Magic Kingdom! The Hocus Pocus witches will have a special show at Cinderella’s castle, your child’s favorite characters will be in costume during Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade, and the nighttime fireworks show will have a spooky twist!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a separately ticketed night event. Costumes are allowed. Visit the Walt Disney World website for costume guidelines and available dates.

 

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios
Select Nights September 1-November 4

Universal Studios’s award-winning Halloween event is back – this year with 10 haunted houses representing famous frights such as Stranger Things, Chucky, and the Exorcist. There are also scare zones, live entertainment, and themed food, drinks, and merchandise.

Halloween Horror Nights is intended for a mature audience. This event contains intense adult content such as violence, gore, and blood. It is a separately ticketed night event. Costumes and masks are not allowed.

 

Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens and Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld Orlando
September 8 – October 31

Busch Gardens® Howl-O-Scream® returns in full force, taking over both theme parks with haunted houses, scare zones, and sinister shows, paired with thrilling rides and heart-pounding attractions!

Howl-O-Scream is intended for a mature audience. This event contains intense adult content such as violence, gore, and blood. Howl-O-Scream is a separately-ticketed night event. No costumes are allowed.

 

Creatures of the Night at ZooTampa
Select nights September 29-October 29

A night-time Halloween event the whole family can enjoy! This year’s event features around vampires Count Chirop and Countess Tera and their Vampire Ball! Throughout the zoo, enjoy eerie realms, spooky wildlife connections, various entertainment, and wickedly delicious treats!

 

Concerts for a Cause at Waterset
Saturdays, October 21-November 11

Bring your friends and family to enjoy live music from some of the area’s top cover bands while supporting a great cause in our Waterset community! Admission to the concerts is free and open to the public—just bring a non-perishable food donation to support Feeding Tampa Bay!

 

 

Pied Piper’s Haunted Carnival at Armature Works
October 26-29

This weekend-long event will feature a fully immersive carnival for party-goers and families of all ages! Enjoy carnival rides and games, classic fair food, a dedicated Kidzone, and live entertainment! After 7pm, the event is labelled as “risqué” so leave the littles with the sitter!

 

7th Annual Trick or Treat at the Riverwalk
October 28

Children in costume and their families are invited to come and trick or treat along the Riverwalk as well as enjoy fun activities.  There will be over 50 treat stations participating along the Riverwalk from Water Works Park to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.
