2025 in Review - Waterset's Favorite Moments of the Year
As 2025 comes to a close, we can’t help but reflect on what an incredible year it’s been here in Waterset! From welcoming new neighbors to opening exciting new amenities and celebrating long-loved traditions, this year was truly one for the books. Here are just a few of our favorite memories that made 2025 so special in our Waterset community.
Welcoming New Neighbors Home
One of our favorite parts of every year is seeing new families and residents move into Waterset. This year, we had the joy of welcoming so many new neighbors who chose to make Waterset their forever home. Watching our community grow – and playing a small part in helping families find their dream home – will always be one of the highlights of what we do.
New Model Homes and Builders
This year brought exciting new additions to our lineup of beautiful homes. ICI Homes joined the Waterset family – a well-known custom homebuilder throughout Florida. We were thrilled to welcome them to the community and showcase their stunning new model home, designed with the perfect blend of comfort, elegance and Florida charm. We also celebrated the opening of a brand-new David Weekley Homes model. Their attention to detail and thoughtful design continues to make them a beloved builder here in Waterset. These new homes give residents even more ways to find a space that fits their lifestyle – and we couldn’t be prouder of the variety and quality within our community.
Supporting Our Local Schools
At Waterset, we believe in supporting our future leaders, and this year we were able to continue the tradition of recognizing outstanding students in our local public schools. We gifted deserving students at each school, brand-new iPads to honor their hard work, dedication and commitment to their education.
In addition to celebrating student success, we also had the privilege of giving back to our local public schools in a big way. Following the success of the 2024 Waterset Turkey Trot, we presented each of our school principals with a $9,600 check. These donations help provide valuable resources and opportunities for students right here in our community. Watching the excitement on the principal’s faces – and knowing these contributions directly impact our neighborhood schools – reminds us how powerful our community spirit truly is.
New Amenities, Endless Fun
We closed out the year with an exciting milestone – the grand opening of two brand-new amenities right here in Waterset.
The Cove, located in Regency at Waterset, our 55+ active adult neighborhood, has officially opened its doors for residents. With resort-style features designed for relaxation, recreation and connection, it’s the perfect place for residents to unwind and make new memories.
The Founder’s Club also celebrated its grand opening in Waterset, offering fresh spaces for fun, fitness and friendship. These new additions bring even more ways for residents to enjoy the amazing Waterset lifestyle – whether it’s relaxing poolside, staying active on the pickleball courts, or just hanging out and spending time with neighbors.
Concerts for a Cause: Music, Community and Giving Back
Our Concerts for a Cause series was a huge hit again this year! We were so excited to have them back at The Lakeside amenity because it is truly a great venue for the event. Residents came together for incredible live music, good food and even better company – all while giving back to those in need in the community. Together we collected over 2,300lbs of food for the Community Cupboard in Ruskin. Every can and every donation helped make a difference right here at home. It’s always inspiring to see how generous and connected our Waterset family is.

Celebrating the 10th Annual Waterset Turkey Trot
This Thanksgiving, we laced up our running shoes and gathered for a very special milestone – the 10th Annual Waterset Turkey Trot! What started as a neighborhood tradition has grown into an amazing community event. The race brought together families, friends and neighbors to kick off the holiday with smiles, laughter, and a shared sense of community. It was the perfect way to start the season of gratitude together! This year we surpassed 1,600 runners and all of the proceeds from the race go to benefit our local public schools in Apollo Beach.
Here’s to an Incredible 2026 Ahead
As we look ahead to the new year, we’re filled with excitement for all that’s to come – new homes, new events and countless new memories waiting to be made. Thank you to every resident, partner, and friend who made 2025 unforgettable. Your enthusiasm, warmth and community spirit are what make Waterset so special. Here’s to another year of growth, connection and the joy of calling Waterset home.
