Waterset Offers Hope, Clothing with Dress for Success Tampa Bay Partnership

Dress for Success Tampa Bay has selected Waterset by Newland Communities as its latest donation location in Hillsborough County. Waterset residents and those in surrounding communities can now drop off gently worn professional attire and accessories, which are donated to local women in need.

Waterset is owned in a joint venture partnership between NORTH AMERICA SEKISUI HOUSE, LLC (NASH), the U.S. business unit and full subsidiary of SEKISUI HOUSE, LTD., Japan’s largest homebuilder and leading diversified developer, and Newland Real Estate Group, LLC, whose development business, Newland Communities, is the master developer of the community. Waterset is one of more than 30 communities the NASH-Newland partnership owns together in 11 states across the United States.

Dress for Success is a global organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing them not only with professional attire to enter the workplace, but with career development tools and resources.

“We’re so pleased to be able to assist Dress for Success’s efforts in the SouthShore area,” said Pam Parisi, regional marketing director for Newland Communities. “We know what an enormous impact this organization has on women in our community. Our residents are passionate advocates for many causes. The simple act of donating clothing to Dress for Success is a very easy way to make a difference in someone’s life.”

“Dress for Success wouldn’t be successful without the support of the community,” added Katie McGill, executive director of Dress for Success Tampa Bay. “We are so thankful for our new partnership with Waterset by Newland in Apollo Beach.”

Waterset is the second Newland community in Tampa Bay to accept Dress for Success donations. The Welcome Center at FishHawk Ranch has served as a donation sitre for the past several years.

Donations of gently worn business attire and accessories (including jewelry, shoes and purses) can be made at The Landing Club and Café at Waterset Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Items should be dry cleaned and ready to wear; and there is a special need for clothes in larger and/or plus sizes.
