Join us for the 11th annual Turkey Trot at Waterset Thanksgiving morning! Proceeds of the Turkey Trot will benefit our local public schools: Doby Elementary, Eisenhower Middle School, East Bay High School, and the Dorothy C. York Innovation Academy.
The race is chip timed and a flat course. Want to participate virtually? No problem. Just sign up for the virtual 5K*.
Registration is required.
• 5K participants will receive a race bib, dri-fit race t-shirt, and finishers' medal.
• Kids' Fun Run participants will receive a race bib, dri-fit race t-shirt, and medal.
• The 5K race route will be the same route as years past (north and south on Waterset Blvd. starting by The Lakeside).
• The Kids' Fun Run routes will be the same as last year : 1 mile, 1/2 mile, and for the little ones we’ll do a special mini route😊.
• Strollers are welcome but we ask that you please go to the back of the starting line so the competitive participants can start first.
• Pets are not allowed due to the growing size of the race. This new rule is simply to ensure the safety of all participants.
• If you’d like to keep your distance when you walk/run, feel free to stay back and let participants start and then you can start your race – since it’s chip timed, your time won’t start until you cross the starting line.
Entry Rates: Early Bird Registration is $30 for the 5K, The Kids' Fun Run is $20. 5K Registration prices will increase Oct. 1st, Nov. 1st and then again Nov. 23th. Kids' Fun Run registration will increase Nov. 1st.
Sign Up: Online sign-up is available through November 26th, however, shirts and specific sizes may not be available and are not guaranteed after November 4, 2026. 5K shirts are dri-fit, adult sizes and youth size available. Kids' Fun Run shirts are also dri-fit this year with youth sizes available.

Early-Race Packet Pick Up: Race packet pick up will be at The Landing Club in Waterset on Wednesday, November 25th from 3pm – 7pm. The address is 7012 Sail View Lane, Apollo Beach, FL 33572.
Race Day Check-in: If you can’t make it to packet pick up, check-in will start at 7am at the race location, 7250 Parkshore Drive. Day of race registration will start at 7am.
Post-Race Awards:
Following the Kids' Fun Run we will have a post-race awards and raffle celebration. Awards will be given to the Overall Male & Female, Male & Female Masters, Male and Female Grand Masters and Top 3 Male & Female finishers in all age categories.
