Hillsborough County’s First VA Outpatient Clinic Coming to SouthShore!
Waterset veterans will no longer need to travel to Tampa or Sarasota to receive care. A community-based outpatient clinic will be opening near the corner of U.S. 301 and Summerfield Crossing Boulevard, scheduled to be complete in spring 2019 (1).
Less than ten minutes from Waterset, this clinic will be a welcome change for our military families, which make up almost 20% of our residents. Overall, the clinic is expected to serve 10,000 patients a year. Services will include primary and specialty care, mental health services as well as MRIs, X-rays, CAT scans, physical therapy and on-site prescription services.
The 50,000 square foot facility will not only be a huge service to area veterans, it will also likely bring many new jobs to the SouthShore area, which is already experiencing a wave of growth and new businesses.
