Waterset Makes A Difference
Each one of us has the power to improve someone else’s life and community. That’s the mission behind Make a Difference Day, which will be held each year on the fourth Saturday in October. This year, it will be celebrated on October 22.
Developed by USA Today, Make a Difference Day is the largest annual single day of service in the U.S. Organizers say it shows that everyone can make an impact on their community in both big and small ways.
At Waterset, our residents help to make a difference throughout the year. Our annual Concerts for a Cause program collects food and cash donations to help Feeding Tampa Bay ensure our neighbors have enough food to eat. Residents also assist Dress for Success when they make a donation of gently worn business attire and accessories and drop the items off at The Landing Club and Café. The clubhouse will also be the collection site for Waterset’s annual Toys for Tots event. Starting November 28th, 2016, residents can bring an unwrapped toy to donate to this popular program.
Making a Difference Day shows all of us that helping others doesn’t require a lot of money or effort. It just requires a desire to be of service to someone else.
