Your Guide to Celebrating Father’s Day, Waterset-Style
Here at Waterset, June is all about the most important man in your life - Dad! We’ve rounded up the ultimate list of things to do with Dad in and around Waterset.
Tampa is filled with mild to wild attractions perfect for a dad who’s really just a kid at heart. Tee up at Top Golf, play some games at Dave & Buster’s, or catch a flick at one of Waterset’s nearby theaters. Looking for a grown up way to play? Try the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Florida Theme Parks
Florida is undoubtedly the theme park capital of the country, and Waterset is perfectly situated by I-75 so you can explore it all. Try Busch Gardens or Adventure Island if you want nearby excitement, or venture out to Legoland, SeaWorld, Discovery Cove, Universal Orlando, or Walt Disney World. Whatever dad’s into, there’s a theme park for that.
Hit the Beach
Waterset is conveniently located in South Hillsborough, meaning you’re less than an hour from some of the top beaches in the US! Our top suggestions are Anna Maria Island and Siesta Key Beach to the south or St. Pete Beach and Clearwater Beach to the northwest. Want something quieter? Check out these hidden gems near Apollo Beach.
Bites & Brews
Tampa is full of great restaurants and local breweries. Try Apollo Beach favorite Four Stacks Brewing, 3 Daughters Brewing or Big Storm Brewing Co. in St. Pete, or the well-known Cigar City Brewing in Tampa - or, of course, one of the other 53 breweries in the Tampa area. Check out the Tampa Bay Brewery Guide from the Tampa Bay Times here.
Stay Close to Home
There’s plenty for Dad to do right here in Waterset! Take Dad to one of our three pools for some wet-and-wild fun, try your hand at catch-and-release fishing at any of our lakes and ponds, or get your game on at the sports courts at The Waterset Club. Of course, you can always take the opposite approach - you’ve found your dream home in Waterset, so why not spend the day at home relaxing?
