Places to See Around Apollo Beach: Your Definitive Guide for 2020

There’s a reason that real estate professionals swear by the old adage, “location, location, location!” Waterset’s convenient location in Apollo Beach puts you close to, well, everything, while still maintaining the seclusion of the suburbs. Here are our favorite places to see, shop, dine, and play - both near and far.

Apollo Beach to Brandon: ~10 Miles

Brandon is a growing hotspot for dining, shopping, and entertainment. Westfield Brandon shopping mall is home to a variety of retailers and restaurants, with even more just surrounding this popular area. If you head west of I-75 from the mall, you will find even more things to do, including adventures like iFly indoor skydiving, TopGolf, and Dave & Busters

Apollo Beach to Tampa: ~12 miles

The Tampa Riverwalk is one of our favorite things to do in Tampa Bay - this 2.6 mile waterfront stretch is home to museums, parks, restaurants, a theater, and a sports arena. Other popular spots in Tampa include Hyde Park, a quaint neighborhood anchored by high-end dining and shopping; Ybor City, home to both historic sites and wild nightlife; and Busch Gardens, part theme park, part zoo, filled with roller coasters and animal encounters alike.

Apollo Beach to Sarasota: ~32 miles

Sarasota is closer to Waterset than you might think - it’s easily accessible for an evening out or short trip. There are so many things to do in Sarasota, it’s hard to narrow it down! Shop at The Mall at University Town Center, St. Armands Circle, or the Ellenton Premium Outlets. Enjoy The Ringling museum, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, or the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. Then, savor another top-rated beach at Siesta Key before unwinding at Daiquiri Deck!

Apollo Beach to St. Petersburg: ~40 miles

St. Pete is the perfect spot for a fun day, exciting evening, or awesome weekend staycation. The beach is world-renowned, but St. Petersburg is also home to great restaurants and a vibrant nightlife. Stroll through downtown or near the Sundial to find a great place to eat and drink. Get cultured at one of the many museums. Relax and rejuvenate at The Vinoy® Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club. Whatever you’re looking for, you’re sure to find it!

Apollo Beach to Orlando: ~90 miles

Orlando is a popular destination and for good reason! Orlando may be famous for its theme parks, but it is also home to exciting attractions, great shopping, and a fun nightlife. You can visit Walt Disney World, which comprises four theme parks and two water parks; Universal Orlando, which is home to two theme parks, a new water park, and the popular nightlife destination CityWalk; or SeaWorld and Aquatica, sister parks to Tampa’s Busch Gardens. If you’re looking for retail therapy, Orlando is home to four malls, including two outlet malls and the Mall at Millenia. Disney Springs is another popular destination for dining, shopping, and entertainment.

With so much to do in the surrounding area, you could easily keep your calendar full all the way into 2021! Still, don’t forget to save some time to spend here at Waterset - with amenities including three pools, two fitness centers, a splash pad, 12 miles of trails, and more, there’s plenty to do here as well! With so much excitement, we’re sure 2020 will be the best year yet!
